Just a quick note to mention that Add From Server 1.3.1 has been released.

New features for this Version include the Ability to Select all files, And French/Spanish Translations, I had to use BabelFish for some of the translations, So apologies if they dont make sense, I do not personally speak either of the languages :)

If anyone has any problems with it,Please contact me via the Contact me link at the top of this page.

Cheers :)

Changelog (for 1.3):

  • French Translation
  • Spanish Translation
  • Select All
  • Import files and do not attach to any specific post (Causes it to not appear in the gallery)

Version 1.3.1 includes a small Javascript typo incase you were wondering :)

      i am using wordpress-mu-1.5.1

I installed and activated the plugin.
      Then went to Write Post.
The Add Media is STAR icon.
When i click on that the popup box comes up.
But there is no “Add from server” tab
The only tabs available are “Choose File”, “Gallery” and “Media Library”

Does your plugin work for MU1.5.1?

    2. DD32 says:

No, I’ve not tested it with WPMU, Infact, I dont have a clue on how to make plugins compatible with MU :)

hey, great plug-in, just what i needed. but i have a problem, whenever i add something to the media library thru this plug in it seems to get the wrong url for it. for example:
      it gives me this
      http://domain.com/wp//home/.eccentricities/domain/domain.com/wp/wp-content/uploads/home/.eccentricities/domain/domain.com/wp/wp-content/uploads/2008/11/eight.mov
while the actual link is just
      http://www.domain.com/wp/wp-content/uploads/2008/11/eight.mov
i have to go in and change them manually which defeats the purpose of using media library altogether. any ideas?
and also, i am using the plugin with dPost uploads

In case you still work n this very useful plugin:
it would be nice to have a moving option so files dont remain in the folder were they were uploaded but moved to /uploads. Thank you

    6. DD32 says:

The files are only moved if they exist outside of your uploads folder.

if they exist in /Blah/something/ and your uploads folder is /wordpress/uploads/ they’ll be COPIED to your uploads folder.

If they exist in /wordpress/uploads/2008/ then they will NOT be moved or copied at all.
