The time has come for a Beta release of Revision Control 2.0. Would also like to announce that I’ve Cracked the 20k downloads on a plugin! currently its standing at 23,226.

Things to note of this release:
- Fully rewritten from scratch
- Better support for multiple post types
- 100% api usage, less chance of breaking something
- Revisioning of Categories and Tags (Well, Any taxonomy really!) – One limitation, It doesn’t restore this, thats for the next Revision :)
- WordPress 2.9+ only.
Compatibility with older releases: I’ve not 100% tested backwards compatibility, That will come this next week, For new users, you’ll have no problems, for existing users, you should be warned that your settings may not be remembered, more testing needs to happen to verify that it works in 100% of cases.

For anyone who’s having trouble with the plural forms, i’m looking into it, i used the wrong function (context instead of domain) in one location.. But, there seems to be something else wrong.
an updated pot can be downloaded from http://svn.wp-plugins.org/revision-control/trunk/langs/revision-control.pot for now, i’m having someone take a look at it and verify its working properly before sending out an email
I am using WP 2.8. For this facility, do I need to upgrade? When I upgrade, will the features of the old get incorporated in the updated version?
All my released plugins will only ever be compatible with the latest stable release, that being the 2.9 branch.
The new version should have the same feature set as the old version, plus more.
I have recently upgraded to WP 2.9. also have downloaded this plugin. It works like magic.
I have been using WP for blogging for some time. Some of these plugins are a great value addition to the Numero Uno Blogging site.
