Outlook Express sends email, But leaves it in the Outbox

Had a odd one the other day.

Customer came in with a laptop, Apparently it would send emails multiple times, Sounds odd..

Outlook would show that there was a“Warning” during the sending process… but didn’t actually  tell you what it was. The email would be sent fine, just get left in the outbox to be sent again on the next send/recieve phase.

The problem? Outlook Express 6(that comes with XP) has a maximum mailbox size of 2GB for the Sent Items folder. Sounds crazy, But lots of people seem to have had that problem, Many seem to end up creating new Outlook profiles.

(This particular instance, There was over 6GB of email in total, 2GB in sent items, 3GB in Deleted, and the rest in the inbox, Over about 2 years..)

Death to all…

..Who use

if ( $_POST['something'] )

its NOT cool!

Also, WTF?

if ( print_r( $options, 1 ) != print_r( $newoptions, 1 ) ) {

Also, As sure as i am that there was good reasoning behind it.. Who was the moron who decided to let the P2 theme look like ass under Internet Explorer? Seriously! As much as a lot of us hate coding for it, Its something we, As web developers, have to do. Just because you’re a firefox junkie doesn’t mean you should ignore those around you… like junkies……

May 2009 Floodings – Kyogle/Casino/Lismore/Northern Rivers

Some of you may’ve noticed the repotrs of flooding in Brisbane over the last few days, While most of the country has been fixated on that, The same weather has moved down the coast into the Northern Rivers, The same area which i live in, Which recieved the flooding in january 2008, Some of you may remember the flood pics i posted back then.

Well the good news is, that this year, Kyogle hasnt been hit as badly as last year, However its my understanduing that lismore may’ve been hit harder, With a top os 10.4m expected in about an hour, which is supposed to flood the CBD (By radio reports)

I’ll get a few pics up of Kyogle later this evening perhaps.

I’ve attached some graphs of the river levels in Kyogle/Wiangaree/Casino to this post, I cant seem to find any of lismore right now, i’ll investigate that later (The station is probbly under water anyway..)

It seems the casino level hasnt peaked yet, but is very close, and most people seem to be safe of the water… But like i said, More later perhaps :)

In Sydney for CeBit Australia this week; Host moved

Alright, This is just a heads up for anyone trying to get in touch with me, I’m heading down to Cebit Australia in Sydney tomorrow morning, So I’m not going to be online much most likely.

I’ve also moved this to a new host, I’m not 100% sure of how reliable it is, Hopefully it’ll be reliable enough for the time being. Speed-wise it seems OK, If anyone notices anything (aside from the Wp-cache errors the last few hours – I reset the cache directories security.. oops.) then give me a yell.
